Welcome

17th International Conference on Crystal Growth and Epitaxy ICCGE-17

August 11-16, 2013
Warsaw, Poland

The 17th International Conference on Crystal Growth and Epitaxy (ICCGE-17) will be held in Warsaw, Poland on August 11-16, 2013. The venue will be the main campus of the University of Warsaw established in 1816, which is Poland's largest and finest university. The main campus of the University consists of palatial-style buildings as well as a very modern glass-steel library, with a roof garden. This unique atmosphere will help to make the participation in the conference both comfortable and fruitful. ICCGE-17 will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of recent research and development activities in all aspects of bulk crystal growth and epitaxial thin film growth, with sessions including fundamentals, experimental and industrial growth processes, characterization and applications. The technical programme will include both oral and poster sessions, as well as plenary and invited talks to provide a complete picture of the latest developments in the field. The official language of the conference will be English. The conference proceedings will be reviewed and published in a special volume of Journal of Crystal Growth.

Abstracts

Abstract submission deadline: 15 April 2013 31 March 2013

To submit an abstract, please register an log in to the conference site. Then follow to the on-line editor at "Abstracts -> New abstract".

Abstracts should be about 1-2 pages. Please use only jpg and png image files.

Abstracts can not be send by e-mail.

Registration and abstract submission

Submission:

Saving an abstract in the system is equivalent to submitting it. Every abstract available through the "Abstracts" menu in a user's profile is submitted.

Important notice:
There are problems appearing when the title and body of an abstract are cut and pasted directly from MS Office documents. In particular ICCGE-17 web text editor returns a message that the title is too long, which is actually not the case. The problem is due to the invisible formatting tags that some versions of MS Word produce, and actually makes the title of the abstract much longer than expected. In order to avoid such problems we recommend to copy&paste the text from MS Office to Notepad first, then copy&paste from Notepad to ICCGE-17 text editor. This procedure can be used both for the title and for the body of the abstract. Then check the abstract again and correct sub/superscripts and special symbols if needed (the abstract editor provides special buttons).

Posters

Posters should be A0 format.

Allotted presentation times:

  • Invited: 25 minutes presentation + 5 minutes questions
  • Oral: 12 minutes presentation + 3 minutes questions.

Proceedings

Conference proceedings will be published in a special issue of Journal of Crystal Growth. The manuscripts must be prepared and will be reviewed according to the JCG rules.

Submission starts: 1 July 2013
Submission deadline: 15 August 2013  7 September 2013
