STUDIES ON ELECTRODEPOSITED Ni-Mo NANOCRYSTALLINE ALLOY, M.Karolus, E.L/agiewka, Institute of Physics and Chemistry of Metals, University of Silesia, Bankowa 12, 40-007 Katowice, Poland. The studies on structure of electrodeposited Ni-Mo nanocrystalline alloys were subject of this paper. The contents of molybdenum in alloys was growing with the change of current density - from 2.5 to 300 [mA/cm2] - were in a range from 3.5 to 23 [at.%]. The X-ray diffraction was performed using the Philips Diffractometer PW1130 with cooper radiation (l = 1.5418 Ĺ) and grafite monochromator on the diffracted beam. The structure analysis was prepared by Rietveld Refinement using DBWS 1988 RR version program. The received occuracy parameters: Rp and Rwp were in a range from 3 to 8 % and goodness of fit was about 2%. Basing on the Rietveld refinement results, the change of lattice parameters - a (from 3.50 to 3.56 Ĺ), the crystalline size - D (from 900 to 60 nm), and the lattice strain - [[image002.gif] ] (from 2.4 to 16.8 x 10-3) were also studied. Moreover, it was noticed that the sample received for 2.5 mA/cm2 had a texture effect and also the different structure deffects (e.g. twinning) were observed in others samples.
