Abstract |
By using potentiodynamic , galvano static and potentiostatic polarization , conducting polyaniline coatings are obtained on low carbon low alloy steel in aqueous oxalic acid. These coatings were characterized by spectro photometry and raman analysis . It has been shown that the extent of steel protection in aqueous acidic medium is governed by amount of conducting phase of polyaniline . The coating is able to withstand defects because of Leucoemeraldine to emeraldine transformation .
