Abstract |
Nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite was prepared by chemical synthesis using α and β cyclodextrin (CD) as template. The particles were characterized by Field Emision Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM),X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR); The Thermal Analysis was measured by thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TGA-DTA). The size of the particles was reduced considerably with the addition with a little amount of CD (0.5-2%) as consequence of HA-CD interaction. It was showed that nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite can be obtained by chemical synthesis with the presence of CD, without CD only particles of the order of microns were acquiered. |
