The objective of the tutorial consists at the implementation of Evolutionary Algorithms in the frame of material screening. It will include:

-        material encoding for Genetic Algorithms and Evolutionary approach

-        implementation of evolutionary algorithm workflows

-        design algorithms with appropriate diversity/selective pressure ratio

Case studies from literature will be presented and used for training purposes. The training will be carried out on the open source software “OptiCat”. Attendees can download OptiCat prior to the workshop at http://a.farrusseng.free.fr/
