Conference registration, all lectures, poster session, lunches and conference dinner will take place at the Faculty of Physics, Warsaw University of Technology - Physics Building, Koszykowa 75 street. You can use the map which is placed on our Faculty web-pages.

Abstracts

CALL FOR PAPERS

We are inviting specialists in Conference topics to submit abstract of their contributions to the Conference programme. The programme of the Conference will consist of talks and posters. The Scientific Committee will evaluate all abstract and decide on paper acceptance.

Abstracts must be submitted (see abstract submission deadlines ) using on-line abstract editor . The following rules of the abstract composition apply:

  • length is limited to 1200 letters for posters and to 2400 letters for talks, including spaces and formattings,
  • only Latin and Greek letters are allowed in the abstract body,
  • no formattings apart from sub- and superscripts are allowed,
  • no drawings,
  • no heading information (title, authors, affiliations) in the abstract body,
  • abstract must be composed and submitted on-line (copy/paste from your word processor is available),
  • abstract is displayed in the final form in the browser ( WYSIWYG ) and must be verified/corrected by the author on-line as no other edition will be made by the organisers ( abstract will be published as is).

Please consult abstract composition manual for more details. You can correct abstract on-line at any time until abstract submission deadline.

Proceedings

It is expected that the Conference materials will be published as proceedings in Journal of Economic Interaction and Coordination .

The fee covers admition to Conference sessions, conference materials, lunches, coffee breaks, conference dinner, conference proceedings and one-year membership fee of ESHIA (including annual subscription of Journal of Economic Interaction and Coordination).

Travel

Arriving by air:

The Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport is approximately 11 km from the City center (15-20 minutes by car, but during the rush hours it can take even 1 hour). You can go with the bus No. 175 from the airport to the City center.

Taxi service is also available. Follow TAXI signs outside the building. You can also call for a taxi by dialing e.g: (+48 22) 9622 (Super Taxi), (+48 22) 9191 (MPT Taxi), (+48 22) 644 4444 (Sawa Taxi) or (+48 22) 677 7777 (Taxi Merc). Use +48 22 when calling from your mobile. From a Warsaw local stationary phone - the remaining part of the number is enough. Do not take a taxi offered by a stranger (you can be seriously overcharged)! Taxis mut have on their window the price they charge per kilometer clearly indicated.

By train:

All international trains to Warsaw arrive at the Central Railway Station - Warszawa Centralna (in front of Marriott Hotel and Palace of Culture and Science).

An exciting tour along charming villages and farm, aristocratic palaces and manor houses to the most fabulous monuments of the Mazovian Country: Żelazowa Wola – the birthplace of Frederic Chopin. The charming manor where Frederic Chopin was born. Now it is a museum with interiors in the style of his times, dedicated to the great composer.

Brochów, a typical Mazovian village with a late Gothic basilica of a unique defensive character erected in the 16th century, the place of Chopin's baptism and his parent’s wedding. Nieborów – the gorgeous Radziwill family residence, where we shall encounter the famous Niobe – an antique sculpture. Niepokalanów - the monastery devoted to St. Maksymilian Kolbe, who sacrificed his life to rescue another prisoner's life in Auschwitz.

Lunch will be held at the local restaurant, which serves the traditional Polish cuisine.

CRACOW – THE ROYAL CITY TOUR

One day tour to Kraków (Cracow) – the most beautiful and magic city of Europe. A city over one thousand years old, located in the upper course of Vistula River, a city called “Little Rome” and the “cradle of European Culture”.

Cracow is rich in history, outstanding works of art. and architecture. The city is the location of Jagiellonian University (founded in 1364), Royal Castle-Wawel, with its mythical Wawel Cathedral and the largest and most beautiful town square in Europe. Cracow is a city complex unlike any other in Europe.

We invite you to see the Old Town with the unique and largest Market Square, Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Church with wooden altar carved by Wit Stwosz. Wawel Hill - Royal Castle and Cathedral with the famous Sigismund Chapel, roofed with pure gold, is an absolutely unique architectural monument.

During the tour you will have opportunity to visit the Wieliczka salt mine – a world class tourist attraction. The historic underground chambers, shafts and caverns, decorated with sculptures and carvings, are connected by 2 kilometers of passage. The chapel of Blessed Kinga is the biggest underground chapel in the world. Tourists can see up to 20 excavated chambers on 3 levels - of those the main one is located 130 meters below the ground level. What is also important - the temperature underground is the same all the year round - 16-17 degrees of Celsius.

The Wieliczka Salt Mine is on the UNESCO list of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage.

Visitors walk down to the salt mine which is why the tour is not recommended to the elderly people who have problems with walking or those who are claustrophobic.
