Abstract |
Synthesis of Bi2O3 in ultrasound field of 750-1000W intensity was studied. a phase of Bi2O3 was formed in the following three steps: 1. formation of Bi(OH)3 by precipitation reaction of bismuth nitrate and amonium hydroxide; 2. condensation of Bi-OH groups and formation of Bi-O-Bi bonds and 3. hydroxid was transformed through oxid-hydroxid semiproduct into crystalline a-Bi2O3. The crystallization speed increased with time and ultrasound intensity. Ultrasound field speeded up Bi-OH condensation, a-Bi2O3 crystallization and a-Bi2O3 crystal growth. Particle size of sonochemically prepared a-Bi2O3 was in range of 0,05-5mm, which corresponded to specific surface area of 0,5-17m2/g. The influence of polyethyleneglycole as a chelating agent on particle size is shown. |
