Abstract |
All-solid state lasers have been developed since the successfully manufacture of laser diode in last two decades. The most popular laser crystals are Nd:YAG, Nd:YVO4 and TiAl2O3. Among these, Nd:YVO4 is widely used in mid- and low- power output all-solid lasers. Since 1990's, a series of rare-earth vanadate crystals have been grown including Nd-, Yb, Tm, Cr- doped and Cr-,Nd- codoped vanadate crystals. GdVO4, LuVO4 and their mixture crystals with different dopants were also grown. The basic properties of these crystals have been determined. Laser performances and passive Q-switch for these series crystals were described in detail. |
