Abstract

Measurements of four transport coefficients are reported for a superconducting Nd1.86Ce0.14CuO4-δ single crystal. Namely the normal state temperature dependencies of the resisitivity (ρ), Hall coefficient (RH), thermal conductivity (κ) and Righi-Leduc coefficient (SRL) have been investigated. We have noticed that the Hall coefficient changes its sign twice (RH is positive below 50 K and above 250 K, and negative between these temperatures), whereas SRL remains positive in the whole temperature range. Disagreement between signs of SRL and RH, strongly suggest that both, n-type and p-type, charge carriers are present in the material. We conclude that hole-like subsystem dominates the heat transport, and seems to obey the Wiedemann-Franz law.
