Abstract

Global trends in development of technologies of production and synthesis and methods of investigations and fields of applications for  various groups of composite materials such as metal and polymer and ceramic matrix composites  and carbon containing composites have been analyzed.

The results of scientometrics investigations of composite materials to be produced and investigated in various institutes of Europe, America and Asia have been presented. The investigations is based on INSPEC database of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and SCOPUS database (Elsevier).  The composite materials  publications have been analyzed with respect to the most productive authors, research organizations, countries of authors, and the leading journals.
