It is developed the technique of controlled external fixation of patella fractures, which corresponds to modern anatomic and byomechanical requirements. The external design consists of two modules - compressive and fixing one on the patella and base one on the top third of shin. Modules are connected among themselves by hinges and provide the unloading of patellofemoral joint. The technique assumes open reposition, restoration extensive apparutus and fixationg of patella fragments. Reposition and fixing of them was made openly. 24 patients were operated on with good result in all cases.
Practical application of a technique has allowed to provide early function of a knee joint with an opportunity of static and dynamic loading of lover extremity and to conduct in time the fracture consolidation period with the rehabilitation one.
