Abstract

The  physics-chemistry features of obtaining  of polypropylene microfibers filled by the aerosils in nano state have been investigated. The microfibers are formed by the way of processing of polypropylene/copolyamide (PP/CPA) mixture melts. It has been shown that introduction of aerosil additives do not essentially influence on viscous properties on PP/CPA mixture melts in spite of solid state of aerosil. Capability of a mixture melt of being longitudinally deformed increases under influence of aerosil additives. The most important result is sharp improving of PP fiber-formation in CPA matrix at presence aerosil additives: diameters of microfibers decrease to 0. 30 ÷ 0.15μm, weight part of PP microfibers increases to 97.4% as opposed 55.4% for the binary mixture, the uniformity of distribution of microfibers on their diameters increases. The latter is confirmed by the values of distribution dispersion. This is explained by stabilizing action of aerosil additives on liquid streams of PP by way of suppression of the disturbance wave amplitude. All above-mentioned has ensured of obtaining of PP microfibers with increased in three-four times specific surface.

The stabilizing action of aerosil additives has been confirmed by data about increasing of life time of PP liquid streams in CPA matrix, and essential lowering of interfacial tension. Introduction of aerosils leads to change of phase transitions of polymers in PP/CPA mixtures. Aerosil nano particles play role of the centres of nucleation.
