Abstract
Photoacoustic (PA) is a perspective area of the solid state physics that develops intensively. Methods of PA allow investigating a huge amount of optical, thermal and elastic characteristics ant the parameters of materials. They are successfully applied in various areas of modern material research [1]. Lets notice, that overall PA effects description, grounding on propagation and interaction of different types of fields (such as electro-magnetic, thermal, elastic), gives the key to understanding the nature of the phenomena that take place in media (which can be in the different aggregate states). Usage of the power pulse irradiation during the experiment enables to investigate nonlinear phenomena, and as the result, allows to get (for example from the second and the third harmonics) additional information about materials.

Mathematical model for the calculations of the fields of elastic displacements in inhomogeneous structures (such as composite materials) under their irradiation by short (~10 ns) laser pulses is presented in the work. As a result of such irradiation the nonstationary temperature distribution originates in material that defines the form of the acoustic response through the thermoelastic mechanism.

If we know the form of temperature distribution (for example from [2], [3]), that corresponds to definite spatial distribution of the thermal parameters of the material, we have the possibility to use such model to get temporal and spatial distribution of elastic displacements.
