Conference venue

Conference registration, all lectures, poster session, lunches and coffee breaks will take place at the Faculty of Physics, Warsaw University of Technology - Physics Building, Koszykowa 75 street . You can use the map which is placed on our Faculty web-pages.

The Registration, will take place in the lobby of Physics Building, Koszykowa 75 street during following hours:

  • Tuesday 29 th January between 8 30 and 9 00
  • Wednesday, 30 th January between 8 30 and 9 00

If you are interested in collective dynamics of socio-techno networks and affective interactions in such systems then you are invited to the Final Conference of the EU FP7 CYBER EMOTIONS Project.

The overall objective of this conference is twofold:

  • to present and discuss state of art research related to cyberemotions
  • to present results of the 4-year EU Project CyberEmotions ( www.cyberemotions.eu), which produced tools and models of emotional phenomena in e-communities
We welcome researchers dealing with computational and mathematical modeling of social processes in which the emotional component plays an important role.

Topics of the Conference include:

  • collective dynamics of social web
  • sentiment detection and data mining
  • emotion modelling
  • collective information processing
  • propagation of emotional patterns in social media
  • applications of sentiment analysis in business, marketing and software development

Call for papers

We are inviting specialists in Conference topics to submit abstract of their contributions to the Conference programme. The programme of the Conference will consist of talks and posters. The Scientific Committee will evaluate all abstract and decide on paper acceptance.

Abstracts must be submitted (see abstract submission deadlines ) using on-line abstract editor . The following rules of the abstract composition apply:

  • length is limited to 1200 letters for posters and to 2400 letters for talks, including spaces and formattings,
  • only Latin and Greek letters are allowed in the abstract body,
  • no formattings apart from sub- and superscripts are allowed,
  • no drawings,
  • no heading information (title, authors, affiliations) in the abstract body,
  • abstract must be composed and submitted on-line (copy/paste from your word processor is available),
  • abstract is displayed in the final form in the browser ( WYSIWYG ) and must be verified/corrected by the author on-line as no other edition will be made by the organisers ( abstract will be published as is).


We would like to inform all participants whose abstracts have been accepted about the possibility of sending your contribution to the Conference e-repository. The papers will be subject to single-blind peer-reviewed process and the following timetable has been set:

  • 31st March - submission of the papers (camera ready),
  • 30th April - papers review process terminates,
  • 31th May - authors submit final version (source files) and copyright forms.

The size of the paper or number of colour figures is not limited. The accepted format of the paper is the one used by Springer in Lecture Notes in Computer Sciences - below we include templates for LaTeX, Word 2003 as well as Word 2007-10.

Additionally, abstracts of submitted papers will will be published in a paper form as a special issue of Warsaw University of Technology Academic Press (ISBN number will be provided).

Deadlines and fees

  • Abstract submission (extended): 17 November 2012
  • Notification of acceptance: 21 November 2012
  • Registration deadline: 4 January 2013


  • Fee paid in advance by wire transfer:
    • 300 € for university participants,
    • 450 € for business sector participants.
  • Fee paid on site (only in cash, no credit or debit cards allowed):
    • 350 € for university participants,
    • 500 € for business sector participants.

The fee covers admission to Conference sessions, conference materials, lunches, coffee breaks, conference dinner and conference proceedings.
