Abstract

In his famous book  Capital in the Twenty-First Century Thomas Piketty argues that income tax is not able to reduce wealth inequality. He proposes to combine progressive income tax and wealth tax. In our talk we discuss a simple model of macro-economy with different taxes and compare the influence of income tax and wealth tax on wealth distribution.
