Abstract

The synthesis and mechanical properties of a porous PDLA/CH blend by a thermal induced phase separation technique is presented. By the optimization of several parameters like polymer ratio, temperature, solvent concentration a well controlled structures could be achieved. The materials were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Differential Scanning calorimetry (DSC), evidence of the interaction between both polymers was acquired from FT-IR. The morphology of the materials was studied by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy. The results showed that the TIPS technique is appropriated for the production of Porous composites.
