Abstract

In a simulated environment, this paper examines the impacts of economic agents' information on resource allocation and economic growth. The model is based on rent seeking theory which enables us to investigate resource allocation and identify interactive behavior of agents. Agent-based computational economics (ACE) approach is used for modeling in order to trace the dynamics of the behavior of environment and agents. The results show that more information leads to allocate resources more to productive activities and thereby higher economic growth rate is attainable.
