Abstract

Voltage reference circuits are a critical component of many high temperature analog, digital and mixed-signal integrated circuits. Circuits such as analog to digital converters, comparators, amplifiers, oscillators depend on stable, low temperature variation voltage references.

The paper presents an overview of different voltage reference implementations and presents the design of a high temperature voltage reference generator implemented in a 0.6μm BiCMOS HotASIC

The circuit has been successfully tested up to 200

® technology. The proposed circuit is designed and implemented as an Applications Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) utilized temperature compensation of the active and passive devices.°C. Short term tests indicates that the circuit is functional up to 227°C.
