Surfaces of solid substrates of chemical or biochemical sensors, operating either in gas or liquid media, are usually modified for selective or, in some cases, even specific sensing. The workshop will focus on the art of chemical as well as non-chemical decorating of surfaces and resulting recognition activity of the sensors toward target analytes.
Main topics of the workshop will cover various aspects of surface chemistry related to sensing and biosensing in solutions or gases, but are not limited to:
- Invited speakers will deliver tutorial lectures, which are intended to cover fundamentals, some review material and selected results of a current research
- Prominent scientists will give keynote lectures on selected subjects
- Graduate students and junior scientists will present short communications related to topics of their research.
